By utilizing first quality "cast-away" stones remnants we are able to make a very green product, saving these elegant rocks and crystals from less noble ends such as gravel or land fill. In addition, our low costs of materials allow us to lower our production costs and make competitively priced products despite our labor intensive crafting process. Our production process combines the skill of the crafts person and artisan along with modern manufacturing techniques. All these factors allow us to produce affordable one of a kind products in an age of mass produced uniformity. Stones on 5th was developed by psychiatrist Dr. Martin L. Korn. Although organized as a for profit business, Stones on 5th is entirely dedicated to helping people and the environment. The concept and business were developed with one end in mind, to help raise money to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to today's rapidly developing complex and global social, economic and environmental problems. In keeping with the social mission of the project, Dr. Korn does not receive salary or other income from the business.
